JEANNE STARR GATER has been described by her colleagues as multi-faceted and multi-talented. Her varied background as an educator, author, speech writer, award winning editorialist, television personality, actress, singer and songwriter, has prepared her well for her current mission. Having the organizational skills, business acumen, and personal agility to deal with people from all walks of life; Jean has used her astute "know how" to creatively launch what is now being termed the "Supa Dupa Babee" phenomenon. Past accomplishments have indeed prepared her well as she spearheads her mission to introduce the nation a "wake up call" in the manner of solving drug crisis problems through intervention and prevention -- preventing kids from the desire to think it’s "cool" to do drugs, or conform to peer pressure. |

Launching Castleberry Toys, Inc., Home of Supa Dupa BabeeĀ®, began in 1993. Shortly after Supa Dupa Babee caught the attention of metro Detroit children as the flying hero of Jeanne Starr Gater’s Higher and Higher Television Program., Jeanne Starr Gater directed her attention to the next phase: creating a realistic doll with the same basic "fight back" message in the public service announcement; but targeted specifically to young kids who had fallen in love with their hero. Bringing Supa Dupa Babee to life meant making him an idealistically life-like and unique hero that would continue to fascinate young children. Jean’s solid commitment to produce a quality product with universal appeal led her to seek our artists, sculptors and a team of creative talent that would magically bring Supa Dupa Babee into existence. Lloyd Middleton, holder of the coveted Doll Maker of the Century award, produced vital parts for the distinctly unique Supa Dupa Babee. Supa Dupa Babee is indeed universal as many of his component parts stretch the globe. The stamina of Jeanne Starr Gater’s single-minded focus in creating Supa Dupa Babee, his Adventure Series Booklet, Coloring Book, "Fight Back" song and Educational Video was an arduous and tedious task. However, she explicitly states: "My mission here has been a labor of love. It has been a lot of frustration and hard work getting this into position; but I’ve often felt, and still believe, that I’m being spiritually led. It that regard, my Creator will continue to direct my path as I co-create all of the Supa Dupa Babee funtastic learning toys and tools that will re-direct and save the lives of thousands of children – especially this generation!" |
